The Continuance of Giving Thanks.

I've been enjoying writing what I am thankful for.  It has made a difference in my particular circumstance.  Of course, there is still pain, hurt, the day to day questions and feelings that range from betrayal to abandonment.  But when I take a step back and see the things that I do HAVE, complaining, wallowing, and being in despair ceases just a bit.  Not to mention that there's someone who is worse off than me.  I am not where I want to be, but I am learning to be thankful and accept where I am.  It's hard ... but I choose to believe that He is perfecting everything that concerns me for my good.  I must say, you learn a lot about yourself and others when you're faced with adversity.  You begin to see the true character not only of yourself, but others.  And sadly, those who should NOT be concerned in the matter at all.  You begin to see what you are really made of.  I am learning that I am STRONG.  And when my strength depletes, His strength blankets me.  God sustains me.  When I could have lost my mind, He was my sanity.  When I was lonely and scared, He comforted me ... I could go on!  I am so thankful for family, friends, mentors, and for all who are standing with me.  This has been a lonely road but, I am thankful I'm never alone.
  1. I am thankful to those who have not waived.
  2. I am thankful to those who remain neutral.
  3. I am thankful to those who edify, build up, and encourage me.
  4. I am thankful to those who are praying.
  5. I am thankful to those who shower me with much love and compassion.
  6. I am thankful to those who have made and are still making tremendous sacrifices.
  7. I am thankful to those who give so freely.
  8. I am thankful that I can stand strong, tall; with my head held high.
